Doubting, switching and then?!
Help! I'm tired of creating new ledgers for the new year, I don't want any more downtime and I want new employees to be able to work quickly in the reservation system. The reasons for switching are often quite clear, you want to do less manual actions. You feel 🙁 or even 😤…
The reasons for choosing a specific new system are a lot more difficult to give. My advice: be well informed by all providers in the market. 🤓 Find out what you feel most comfortable with and consult references. Who could give you better advise, as colleagues from the recreation market?
I don't have time for this.
Fairy! 🕚 You may have already switched to a new reservation system once and it has taken you months. However, this is not self-evident. Yes, you're very busy. Yes, you've had a bizarre season with few employees. But you can manage your time and make sure that a switch is a success!
Of course, you need tools to do that, such as a guidance program. With a clear explanation, a checklist so you don't forget anything and people who can always help you further. 🏎
Make one employee responsible for the entire onboardingprocess. Of course, that employee doesn't have to carry out everything, but he/she is fully aware of the new system. Preferably this is therefore an employee who works full-time. Based on the checklist, this responsible employee can delegate tasks to a number of other colleagues. Try to free up at least one hour every day for the new system. In this way you get to know the system and the knowledge remains ready.
And with your new system you will have time to spare 🚀, time you can use for other things!
What do I need to do?
Well… Once you've made the choice and the basics are set up… You've suddenly lost the overview, you don't understand it anymore, a total blackout! In that case → don't panic! Ask the helpdesk of your new system for help. Schedule an extra training session together or ask them to watch it over with you. 👀
What's the situation? Update the checklist together and create a new overview. In this way your brightness will return. ✅ This allows you to continue with a fresh look at the onboarding, or maybe you've already reached the point where you are already done? 👌🏻
Is the set up all right?
Scary! Is everything all right? Aren't we forgetting anything? And now?! Check check check check.
Yeah, it's scary! Is everything all right? Aren't we forgetting anything? Trust yourself and if everything's all right, then it's often all right. 😉 You can always make changes afterwards in case you want something different. The most important thing is that the basics are right: is your availability right and are the prices set up correctly? Then going live is definitely recommended. You will really work in the system and then you will find out if everything is like you wish.
And then you're on your own…
No! Certainly not. Even after going live you need good guidance. It's very important to ask for help if you need it. Get advice! A team of specialists of the new system should be ready to help you. 🦸
The best part is that with this help, you can make the adjustments yourself. This way you get to know the system completely. 🔝
