Electricity and water billed on actual consumption – no cabling, no Wi-Fi

HIOT-Connect links Booking Experts to the Edelboxx power pedestals and
distribution units. Each pedestal transmits its meter readings on its own
via dedicated IoT radio networks (NB-IoT/LTE-M). These machine networks
are independent of regular phone reception and reach much further into
remote corners, valleys and buildings – the connection stays reliable
even where a smartphone shows no bars. No on-site infrastructure is
required: no Wi-Fi, no repeaters, no data cabling. Ideal for retrofitting
existing sites, too.

Features

• Automatic meter readings in BEX: At check-in and check-out, Booking
  Experts retrieves the current readings – guests pay for their actual
  consumption, with no manual reading.
• Switching per reservation: The pitch connection is switched on
  automatically at check-in and off at check-out.
• Electricity and water: Besides electricity, water connections are
  metered and switched as well (where installed) – both end up on the
  guest invoice automatically.
• Per pitch: Every connection is metered and switched individually.
• Robust: Industrial-grade technology in stainless steel housings,
  built for outdoor use on campsites and in marinas.

Requirements

• Edelboxx power pedestals or distribution units with HIOT-Connect
  modules (distributed in the DACH region by our partner
  edelboxx GmbH & Co. KG, www.edelboxx.de)
• Active HIOT-Connect subscription (radio connectivity included)
• For water: connections fitted with a water meter and solenoid valve

Setup

1. Install the app and grant it access
2. Enter the pairing code from your HIOT-Connect dashboard in the app
   configuration
3. Assign your BEX rental units to the electricity and water
   connections – done
