We have improved the way you manage full as well as partial stays to optimize internal workflows and to truly reflect the guest experience. A reservation can have a single stay, with the whole guest group staying for the entire time. However, there are also reservations with multiple stays. Think of grandparents coming to visit during a family vacation or a group of friends with some arriving later and others leaving earlier.
For these partial stays, you can now easily and exactly state who stays when at your park – per guest and per night. You benefit from full insight into who is staying when as well as from an update in user experience.
We’ve tackled the guest model holistically, meaning we’ve improved the entire workflow in the BEX PMS. Before, the user interface was rather complex and resulted in incomplete data. Now, the model is easier to understand and enables you to manage different stays effectively.
Why partial stays matter for you and your guests
Accurate data impacts your own insights as well as administration while an improved user experience impacts the way you work. A cleaner, more straightforward process creates clarity, simplicity and efficiency:
- You know exactly who is staying at your park and when. Your data and night register are correct and reflect reality.
- With accurate data, you can plan better. For example, your to-dos according to the actual stays and guests.
- As before, recalculate the guests’ order automatically to charge the right tourist tax and costs for additional stays.
- Your guests will thank you. They pay for what they get and can be precise in who stays when.
- Your guest will also be able to manage their own stays with the upcoming guest portal update. This feature will be one of many!
- If you’re operating in Austria or other European countries that require you to report and authenticate this exact information to the authorities, you’re all set. Compliance can be that simple.
The process behind partial stays
As we are growing internationally, requirements in different countries can have a positive impact on all our users. Our platform is the same for everyone so that changes always benefit all. In this case, attaching dates to partial stays is necessary in Austria, among others. While we could have simply added those, that’s not how we work.
Instead, we decided to holistically update the model as Product Manager Tom Groeneveld puts it. He explains that technical updates go hand in hand with improvements in user experience and vice versa: ‘As soon as flows work better for users, they also work better technically.’
With these releases, we always have an eye on ease-of-use and automation so that you can free up time for what really matters: your guests and their experience in your park. Managing stays is just one cog in the guest journey that you don’t want to worry about.
