What the connection does

The connection imports stay reservations from selected Booking Experts channels into Nostium, including stay dates, available guest details, party composition, pricing and payment information. Your team can add activities without entering the stay again.

Charges for supported activities and activity options can be sent to the linked stay in Booking Experts as additional order lines. Multiple accommodation reservations belonging to the same Booking Experts booking remain together in one Nostium reservation.

Working with Booking Experts

Booking Experts manages imported stays; Nostium handles local activities and dining. This division brings two specialisms together and gives your team a shared starting point for the guest journey.

You choose which channels and accommodation types to connect. You grant access through Booking Experts without entering API keys in the Nostium backoffice. The Nostium team is your contact for questions about Nostium and setting up the connection.

Requirements

• A Nostium location with the paid Booking Experts module and its Reservations, Activities, Spaces and Integrations dependencies.
• Access to the correct Booking Experts administration, a Nostium app available to your organisation and permission to manage integrations in Nostium.
• Active Nostium stay activities to map Booking Experts accommodation types to.
• The same currency for the stay and the Nostium location. The connection supports currencies with two decimal places.

Getting started

1. Make sure the Booking Experts module is active for your Nostium location.
2. Start the connection from the Nostium app in Booking Experts and grant permission.
3. Select your organisation, location and Booking Experts administration in Nostium.
4. Choose the channels to import, map the accommodation types and set cancellation behaviour for local activities. The Nostium channel remains part of the connection.
5. Validate and activate the connection. Run the first synchronisation and test a reservation, an amendment, a cancellation and an added activity before going live.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I amend an imported stay?

In Booking Experts. Stay dates, accommodation, party composition and stay pricing remain managed there. You manage local activities in Nostium.

Can activity charges appear on the stay’s account?

Yes. Supported activity charges can be added to the linked stay as additional order lines. An order line records a charge; it does not take a payment.

Are payments and refunds processed in both directions?

Available payment information from Booking Experts is imported into Nostium. Payments and refunds made in Nostium are not automatically sent to Booking Experts as payments or refunds.

What happens to activities after a cancellation?

By default, added activities are retained and an alert appears when all linked stays have been cancelled. You can also choose to cancel the activities at that point.

Good to know

• Missing reservation: check the administration, selected channels, accommodation mappings and synchronisation status. Start a manual synchronisation if needed.
• Access revoked: reconnect through Booking Experts before synchronising again.
• Updates: automatic change notifications require working webhook configuration. Scheduled checks and manual synchronisation are also available.
• Scope: not every field is synchronised in both directions. Imported stays remain managed by Booking Experts.
• Historical data: the standard import covers start dates from 30 days in the past to 24 months ahead, within the selected channels and accommodation mappings. This is not a complete historical data migration.
• Outbound stays: when creating a stay from Nostium, the connection supports one mapped stay per Nostium reservation and a maximum of 30 nights, within the configured stay length.
• Multiple locations: each Nostium location links to one Booking Experts administration. Locations within the same organisation can each use their own administration.
