Access that simply works
A guest standing in front of a closed barrier at eleven at night calls you.
GateCloud makes sure the barrier already knows them before they need to call.
The camera reads the license plate, GateCloud knows whether that car is
allowed in, the barrier opens. No passes that get lost, no front desk that
has to stay open in the evening.
How the Booking Experts connection works
If the reservation is in Booking Experts, GateCloud knows who is coming,
when, and with which license plate. A confirmed reservation with a license
plate gets access at the barrier for exactly the length of the stay — with
the margin before arrival and after departure that you choose.
- If the dates change, the access moves along.
- If the license plate changes, the old one loses access and the new one gets it.
- If the reservation is cancelled, the access is gone.
Nobody types over a license plate anymore. Your team keeps working in
Booking Experts; GateCloud follows along in the background.
Automatic check-in (optional)
Want a guest to be marked as checked in at Booking Experts the moment they
drive onto the site? Switch on automatic check-in. It is a choice per park
and is off by default.
Which rights we ask for — and why
GateCloud asks Booking Experts for as little as possible. Exactly this, and
nothing more:
-
Read administrations — to see which administrations exist, so you can
link each one to the right GateCloud location. -
Read reservations — to read the arrival, departure, status and license
plate of a reservation. -
Update reservations — only to check a reservation in automatically when
the guest drives in through the barrier, and only if you switch that on.
Beyond that, GateCloud never writes anything back to Booking Experts. We do
not change reservations, rates or guest details, and we never write license
plates back.
What we keep
Only what is needed to grant access: the period of the stay, the location
and the license plate, with the booking number as a label on the access so
your team can find the reservation. We do not copy names, email addresses,
phone numbers or other guest details — those stay in Booking Experts.
Coming soon: PIN codes
Alongside license plates, GateCloud will soon support PIN codes too. As a
fallback — a foreign plate with special characters or a classic car is not
always read correctly by a camera, and then the PIN code from the
reservation still grants access at the keypad. Or as the main route, for
sites without a license plate camera that work with PIN codes only.
You know before your guest does
This is where most systems stop. GateCloud monitors every barrier and camera
continuously. If something falters, it shows on your dashboard — not in a
phone call from someone who is already standing in front of it.
Even when the internet drops
On your site there is a GateCloud bridge that keeps the access rights
locally — only license plates and the period they are valid for, nothing
more. If the connection drops, the barrier keeps doing what it should. When
it returns, everything syncs up again by itself. All traffic between the
bridge and GateCloud is encrypted and signed, so nobody in between can read
along or change anything.
On the installation that is already there
GateCloud works with your existing barriers and license plate cameras.
Replacing them is usually not needed, and where it is, we arrange it with
our installation partners.
Not a GateCloud customer yet?
This app connects your reservations to your access control. That access
control itself runs on your site: a GateCloud bridge at the barrier, linked
to license plate recognition at the entrance and exit.
So it starts with a conversation. Together we look at what is already there,
what still needs to be added and what it costs. Once it is in place, this
connection is a matter of installing it.
